Frances C. Kendall

Frances Kendall, 76, of Florence, SC, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023. Mrs. Kendall is the daughter of the late Robert M. Courtney and Frances Campbell Courtney. Frances Kendall was a 1965 graduate of Conway High School and graduated from Columbia College. She was a member at All Saints Anglican Church and was a past vestory member. She was the past president of Daughters of The King and served as a lay reader and Alter Guild. She was a state staff member of the Miss South Carolina/ Miss America Organization for over 30 years. Frances was also a member of the Garden Club of South Carolina and past East Sandhills District Director of the Garden Club of South Carolina. She also was the past president of Wildwood Garden Club. Frances was a 2 time breast cancer survivor and instrumental in the formation of the Florence County Relay for life. She was a Guardian ad litem for the Pee Dee area. She was a past president of the Florence Civic Ballet Company and a member and board member of Florence Symphony Guild. Surviving are her husband John “Sandy” A. Kendall III of Florence, SC; daughter, Courtney (Aladdin) Mozingo of Florence, SC; son, Marshall Kendall of Florence, SC; grandchildren, Kendall Humphreville (John Evin) of Fort Myers, FL, Alex Skipper of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Raven (Kevin) Jenkins of Florence, SC, Gabe Kendall of Florence, SC, and Luke Kendall of Florence, SC; great grandchild Vaden Humphreville of Fort Myers, FL; special friend Charles “Chaz” (Lex) Ellis of Columbia, SC; Best Friend Tereasa “Terri” Brown (Mike) of Florence, SC; sisters-in-law, Scott Kendall (Sam) Zimmerman of Greenwood, SC, Ann Kendall (Brice) Rexrot of Pawleys Island, SC and several dearly loved nieces, nephew, and cousins.
