Frances C Bailey

Frances C. Bailey joined the Lord on Sunday, 09 November 2014 after an extended illness. She passed away at home, in comfort and loving care. The youngest of ten children; Frances was born in Turbeville, SC, the daughter of the late David Emerson and Susan Virginia Burgess Cole. She retired from AT&T and was first a founding member of College Park Baptist Church and later, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. In recent years, the members of First Free Will Baptist Church ministered to her.Frances’ love for others might best be remembered by the fresh bread that for many years, she baked almost daily. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick P. Grainger, and husband Wilson H. Bailey. Survivors include her daughter, Freida Grainger of Birmingham, Alabama; son, Fred Grainger and daughter-in-law Jennifer of Florence; son, Dustin Grainger of Bethesda, Maryland; stepdaughter, Michelle Farrar and her husband Brian of Myrtle Beach; stepson, Michael Bailey in Florida; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and one sister, Selma Miller of Darlington also survives. Funeral services will be held at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 12th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Frances to The Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., P.O.
