Ferrell Jabo Prosser Florence, SC Ferrell Jabo Prosser, 79, of Florence, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Mr. Prosser was born in Hannah, SC a son of the late Jabo Calvin Prosser and Devon Munn Prosser.He was a 1953 graduate of Florence High School and attended Clemson University and served in the US Army, ASA.He was a Professional Land Surveyor for 51 years and was the owner and operator of Prosser Surveying Co., Inc.He served as the SC State Surveyor for the SC Geodetic Survey, National Council of Engineering Examiners, State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors and Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 477.He was a member of the SC Society of Professional Land Surveyors, National Society of Professional Land Surveyors, American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, Flintville Lodge 158 AFM and Central United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Morris Lonewood “Buddy” Prosser and Ted Charles Prosser. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Nancy Huggins Prosser; son, Ferrell Calven (Julie) Prosser of Fruita, Colorado; daughters, Tamara P. (Marion) Baker of Chapin, SC and Angela D. Prosser of Greenville, SC; grandsons, Marion H. “Trey” Baker, III, Ferrell Calven “Rusty” Prosser, II and Cameron Andrew Baker; step-granddaughter, Jennifer (Brian) Springs; great-grandson, Marion H. “Rion” Baker, IV and four additional step-great-grandchildren; sister, Dianne Prosser (Eddie) Parker of Florence; sisters-in-law, Carolyn P. Prosser of Columbia and Sandra Munn Prosser of Florence; special nephew, Reid Downing Huggins. Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 225 W. Cheves Street, Florence, SC29501. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 15, 2014 at Central United Methodist Church.Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
