Faye Hyman Press

Alice Faye Hyman Press, 70, of Pamplico, SC, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015, at her home after a courageous battle against cancer. Ms. Press was born in Pamplico, SC, a daughter of the late Willis Grady Hyman and Addie Ruth Powers Hyman.She graduated from Pamplico High School and Winthrop University and retired as lab director from Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. She was an active member of Mt. Elon Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Press. Surviving are her sister, Joan Calcutt, of Pamplico; her brothers, Euford (Gladys) Hyman and Willis Gregory Hyman, both of Pamplico; her nephews, Bryant (Shawn) Calcutt of Darlington, Bentley Calcutt and Timothy(Heidi) Hyman, both of Pamplico, and Tobin (Kimberly) Hyman of Florence; andher niece, Sandra Hyman of Aiken. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at Mt. Elon Free Will Baptist Church.Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
