Faye Tanner Hyman

Faye Tanner Hyman, 82, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Faye was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late Wardie Tanner and Alice Marie Howell Tanner.Faye was a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church for 48 years and most recently a member of First Baptist Church.She taught Sunday School to the children for thirty-five years and to the adults for eleven years.Faye also taught piano and read to the children for three years at Immanuel Day Care.She was owner and operator of Hyman’s Apparel for twenty-two years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy R. “Ray” Hyman and by two brothers, Ervin Floyd Tanner and Lonnie Pearl Tanner. Surviving are her son, Eugene Ray Hyman of Florence; brother, Cecil Ward Tanner of Evergreen and sister, Mary Claire Tanner (Wayne) McGee of Effingham. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 PM Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 PM.Burial will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery after the service.
