Ezra E.C. Bailey

Ezra “E.C.” Bailey, Jr., 85, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Mr. Bailey was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Ezra Bailey and Irene Hinds Bailey.He was a truck driver and had served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. E.C. was a lifetime member of Friendship United Methodist Church, was a member of the Amity Masonic Lodge #340 of Florence and an Omar Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Scarlett Manning; brother, Wilbur Bailey; and sister, Patricia Skinner. Surviving are his wife, Tonia Creel Bailey; son, Thad Bailey of Florence; daughters, Elizabeth (Jeff) Winstead of Florence and Landess (Randall) Johnson of Rocky Mount, NC; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Hubert (Linda) Bailey of Florence. Memorials may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, 5422 East Old Marion Highway, Florence, SC 29506. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Friendship United Methodist Church with the service to be held at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary.Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
