Evelyn Player Hall Goodwin, 79, of Florence, formerly of Atlanta Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014, after an extended illness at a local healthcare facility. Ms. Goodwin was born in Lancaster, SC, on December 10, 1934, a daughter of the late Clyde Louis Player and Mary Janet Gulledge Player.She retired as a receptionist from World Lincoln Automobile Dealership in Alpharetta, Georgia, but worked with several companies, including Nalley Jaguar in Alpharetta, Georgia and Love Chevrolet in Cayce, South Carolina.Ms. Goodwin was a former dance instructor with Arthur Murray in Columbia, South Carolina. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband, James Edward “Pete” Hall and her sister, Yvonne Player Mullinax. Surviving are her daughters, Joy Hall (Archie) Boone of Timmonsville, SC, Tanya Hall Romine of Alpharetta, GA, Dawn Hall (Trey) Rodgers of Indian Land, SC, Daphne Hall Koenigsberg of Matthews, NC;hergrandchildren, Kelly Boone (Bob) Sloan of Hartsville, SC, Austin Hall (Lea) Boone, of Florence, SC,John Alexander “Alex” (Jessica) Mowery of Columbia, SC, and James “Jake” Evan Koenigsberg of Matthews, NC; her great-grandchildren, Tracy Ann Sloan of Hope Mills, NC, Amanda Jean Sloan of Hartsville, SC, Dalton Petersen Boone and Wren Hart Boone, both of Florence, SC; her great-great grandson, Julius Alexander Graham of Hope Mills, NC; her brother, Donald Louis Player of Lexington, SC; and her sisters, Linda DeBorde of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Sandra Cramer of Florence, SC, Beverly Davis (Newton Gill) of Marietta, GA and Hope Player (Jim Pappas) of Fort Lee, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 20, 2014, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 11:30 pm – 1:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home as well as other times at the home of Joy and Archie Boone, Timmonsville, SC.
