Evelyn Williams Dilworth

Evelyn Williams Dilworth, of Garden City, SC, previously of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown, SC. Mrs. Dilworth was born in Anderson, SC, a daughter of the late Hiram Williams and Minnie Campbell Williams.She was the book store manager at Francis Marion University and retired after twenty years of service.She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Florence. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Evans and Mildred Rackley. Surviving are her husband, Cecil Dilworth; son, Daniel (Laura) W. Dilworth of Columbia; daughter, Cecilia T. Dilworth of Garden City; two grandchildren, Evan (Kerri) R. Dilworth of Florence and Anna A. Dilworth of Mt. Pleasant;great-grandson, Sullivan Dilworth of Florence; brothers, Harold Williams of Wallhalla and Jerry (Sarah) Williams, of Anderson; and sisters, Fay (Joe) Guy of Seneca and Edna McAbee of Pendleton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at a later date. Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
