Eura Lois Mclaughlin Benton

Eura Lois McLaughlin Benton, 78, of Florence, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017. Mrs. Benton was born in Florence, SC a daughter of the late Robbie Duncan McLaughlin and Allie Mae Harrell McLaughlin.She was a devoted member of Evergreen Baptist Church and an avid Clemson fan. She was always seeking an opportunity to help people.Mrs. Benton was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a magnet to children, they loved her dearly and she was always eager to get and give hugs to each and every one. They could always count on receiving a popsicle treat when they would visit. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred Vernon Benton; brother, Robbie McLaughlin; sisters, Betty Mae Lindley and Bobbie Jean McLaughlin. Surviving are her sons, Al (Kim) Benton of Florence and Bobby (Lori) Benton of Effingham; daughter, Robin (Mike) Richardson of Pamplico; grandchildren, Tyler Benton, Brooks Benton, Brooke Moore, Tripp Moore, Ryan Smith, Logan Benton, Michelle Dore, Mike Richardson, Jr. and Manning Richardson; great-grandchildren, Leni Moore, Peyton Dore, Loriann Richardson, Will Richardson, Brody Richardson, Coleman Richardson and Lucas Stroud. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 PM Monday, November 6, 2017 at Evergreen Baptist Church with the service to follow at 3:00 in the church sanctuary.Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
