Eugene Albert Fallon Jr., 81, of Lynchburg, SC passed away Friday, June 5, 2026.
Born in Kinston, NC, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Neal Fallon and Eugene Albert Fallon, Sr.
Eugene graduated from McClenaghan High School and Francis Marion University before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, Class of 1975. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar that same year. After working with several law firms, he fulfilled his professional dream by establishing the Fallon Law Firm, where he practiced as a personal injury attorney for 44 years, dedicating his career to advocating for those in need.
A proud “old Yellow Dog Democrat,” Eugene was deeply committed to education and public service. He served for many years as an adjunct professor at Francis Marion University, sharing his knowledge and experience with countless students. He also dedicated his time to community service, most recently, serving as chairman of the board of the Presbyterian Association for the Developmentally Disabled (PADD).
He was a faithful member of Central United Methodist Church for more than 65 years, where he formed lasting friendships and demonstrated his lifelong commitment to faith and service.
An avid outdoorsman, Eugene found great joy in fishing and traveled extensively in pursuit of the sport, including memorable adventures in the Amazon and Costa Rica. He was also a devoted breeder and enthusiast of Labrador Retrievers. Whether on the water, outdoors, or spending time with family and friends, Eugene embraced life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the natural world.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Fallon.
Surviving is his wife, Carrie Earlene “Sunny” Fallon; children, Mitchel “Mitch” Fallon and Jennifer Fallon; stepchildren, Gary Hall and Carrie Tanner; and grandchildren, Jake Tanner, Wyatt Tanner, Alex Hall, and Tyler Hall.
The family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00 PM Friday, June 12, 2026, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at Central United Methodist Columbarium.
