Ethel Dargan Flud McKenzie

Ethel Dargan Flud Mckenzie 88, of Effingham, SC, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Born on November 28, 1937 in Sumter, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Richardson Flud and Margaret Staunton Flud.

Ethel devoted 28 years of service to the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles before retiring in 1996.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Gerald Donald Mckenzie.

Surviving are her children, Sharon “Sherrie” (Tom Young) Bradshaw and Donna McKenzie Allen; grandchildren, Charles “Charlie” (Stephanie) Parnell, Amy (Sam) Ervin, Carolyn (Justin) Owens, Joshua “Josh” (Kaleena Lambert) Allen, and Staunton “Stan” (Bunny Barr) Allen; great grandchildren, Olivia Parnell, Marley Mathews, McKenzie “Kenzie” Allen, Addison “Addie” Allen, and Kori Allen; sister Magaret F. Morgan of Charleton, SC; and brother, Willam A. Flud of Florence, SC. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
