Ertelle W. Coleman Pamplico, SC --- Ertelle Williams Coleman, 85, died June 21, 2013, at her residence after a period of declining health.Mrs. Coleman was a part of the Gift of Body Program with her body going to the USC School of Medicine (Cell Biology and Anatomy). A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Pamplico United Methodist Church with the Rev. Miriam Hadden and the Rev. Leon Newton officiating.The family will be at the family home following the service.Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mrs. Coleman was born in Norway, SC, a daughter of the late Govie Lee and Ruth Garrick Williams.Mrs. Coleman was a retired public school teacher and guidance counselor, having worked in the Pamplico schools for 41 years.She was a graduate of Norway Willow High School and a graduate of Winthrop College where she also received her Master’s Degree in Education.She was a member of Pamplico United Methodist Church for 64 years. As well as her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Govie LaVerne Williams and her two sisters, Elise Williams Johnston and Betty Williams Davis.She was also preceded in death by a son, Raymond Wallace Coleman, Jr. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Raymond W. Coleman, Pamplico; a daughter, Lynn C Brown and husband, Mike, Fort Mill; a son, Arthur L Coleman and partner, Christopher Lyon, Washington, DC; three grandchildren, Ryan P Peake, Fort Mill; Katherine Coleman-Lyon and Benjamin Coleman-Lyon, Washington, DC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
