Ernie Loyd Boyer

Ernie Loyd Boyer, 68, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston surrounded by his family. Mr. Boyer was born in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Felder Leo Boyer and Annis Chavis Boyer.He was a veteran of the US Navy.Mr. Boyer worked in construction building homes. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Jean Turner Boyer; son, Michael (Lori) Boyer) of Florence; brothers, Ricky Crosby of Charleston and Donnie (Cathy) Boyer of Summerville; and sisters, Lottie (Frankie) Munch of Charleston and Ann Hart of Columbia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jane Crosby, Bonnie Hagge, Marie Johnson and Jeanette Coker. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Greenwood Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
