Erma C. Quarterman

Erma Jean Quarterman Beloved mother, grandmother and friend to many. Erma Jean Quarterman of Florence, SC peacefully passed away with her family by her side from her long battle with heart disease at 5:00pm on October 12th 2014. Erma was born on December 1st 1951 in Mooresville, NC to the late Hazel and “Doc” Cherry.She was a graduate of Appalachian State where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Childhood Education. She served as a special needs teacher for 30 years until her recent retirement. She is survived by her two children: David Quarterman of Chattanooga, TN and Elizabeth Quarterman of Florence, SC. She is also survived by her two grandchildren: Hayden Byers and Kinsley Quarterman both of Florence, SC. A memorial service will be held at Lamb’s Chapel on Sunday, October 19th at 4pm.
