Erma Ruth Arrington

Erma Ruth Rogers Arrington, 90, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Mrs. Arrington was born in Rocky Mount, NC, a daughter of the late Phillip Henry Rogers and Sudie Arnold Rogers.She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for fifty-eight years.Mrs. Arrington retired from Sears. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Wallace Winfield Arrington; four brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her sons, Robert “Bob” Winfield (Peggy) Arrington of Wilson, NC and Henry Carter (Dawn) Arrington of Florence; a daughter, Patsy A. Brown of Florence; grandsons, Bert (Charity) Arrington of Lenoir, NC, Erick (Susan) Arrington of Concord, NC and Derick Brown of Columbia, SC; granddaughters, Melissa (Dan) Meier of Los Angeles, CA, and Emily (Charley) Mitchell and Ellis Arrington (Josh Gibson), both of Florence, SC; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Billie) Williams of Nashville, NC, Lillian Davis of Rocky Mount, NC; and sister-in-law, JoAnne (Mack) English of Nashville, NC. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017, at Immanuel Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.
