Emma Virginia Weaver Sawyer Florence, SC Emma Virginia Weaver Sawyer, 96, of Florence, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at the McLeod Hospice House. Mrs. Sawyer was born in Norfolk, VA, the daughter of the late George C. and Alma Lee Cross Weaver.At the time of her death, Ms. Sawyer was the oldest member of the Palmetto Street Church of God and loved her church and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Ervin Sawyer, her son, Ervin "Buddy" Sawyer; her brothers, George C. Weaver, Jr. and F. A. Weaver; and her sisters, Louise Rawlinson and Margaret Saleeby. Surviving are her daughter, Nellie Faye (Earl) Rotan, her sons, Thomas E. (Belva) Sawyer, and C. J. (Shirley) Sawyerall of Florence ; andRonald G. (Cecile) Sawyer of Darlington;her sisters, Doris Ohl and Pauline Warr, both of Florence; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
