Emma Logan Deese Rogers Darlington, SC Emma Deese Rogers, 88, died Friday evening, June 15, 2012 at her residence after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Rogers was born in Sumter County, SC a daughter of the late Frank and Julia Ivey Logan. She was formerly employed with Florence Manufacturing and Marlowe Manufacturing and later retired from Hewitt Fabrics in Florence. She was a member of Community Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Faith Bible Sunday School Class. She loved to visit the mountains and cutting her grass on her John Deere Lawn Mower. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. She is survived by her husband, John S. Rogers of Darlington; sons, Danny Deese of Wadesboro, NC., and Richard Dees of Florence; daughters, Agnes Webb and Jackie Gibsonboth of Rockingham, NC; step-children, Steve Rogers of Timmonsville and Wanda Moody of Florence;sister, Mary Bramlett of Timmonsville; 42 grandchildren , 14 great-grandchildren and her caregiver, Lou Adams of Darlington. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
