Elwood Milligan

Elwood Milligan, 81, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Mr. Milligan was born in Loris, SC, the son of the late Lida Martin Milligan and Worley Milligan. He was retired from the United States Postal Service and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Florence. He enjoyed fishing and collecting old tractors. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Donald Earl Milligan. Mr. Milligan is survived by his wife, Virginia Haynes Milligan; son, Steve Milligan (Elaine) of Timmonsville; daughter, Julia Milligan of Effingham; grandchildren, Daniel Tapp, Dustin Tapp, Chris Hughes, Jordi Breiner, Devin Tapp, Stephanie Lindley, Julie Varnadore, Carrie Milligan Lutchen and Dyonna Lewis; and nineteen great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Due to the current COVID-19 concerns, social distancing will be observed. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
