ELSIE LEE STACKLEY FLORENCE, SC Elsie Lee Stackley, 87, of Florence, SC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2016. Mrs. Stackley was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Troy Columbus Lee and Lillian Kirby Lee.She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Caring Friends Sunday School Class and the Palmetto Bells Camping Club of The Telephone Pioneers.Mrs. Stackley and her husband spent many happy years at their Santee home fishing.She loved her flowers and was a wonderful cook and loved to share her dishes.Mrs. Stackley was a beloved mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her sons, Herbert Alan Stackley and Steven Wayne (Denise) Stackley; daughter, Jennifer Stackley Turner; grandchildren, Joseph Randolph (Andrea) Turner and Taylor Nicole Stackley; great-grandchild, Ella Benton Turner; sister, Connie Freeman; sister-in-law, Elma Lee, a number of nieces and nephews and her long-time caregivers, Sarah Broach and Willa Rea Powers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stackley was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Stackley; brothers, Wilbur Lee and Warren Lee and her sister, Helen Chapman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M.on Monday, April 18, 2016,at Ebenezer Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Monday at the church and other times at the residence of her daughter.
