Elsie Eagerton Boseman

Elsie Eagerton Boseman Florence, SC Elsie Eagerton Boseman, 81 of Elgin, SC, previously from Florence, died peacefully December 3, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Ms. Boseman was born January 16, 1935 to Robbie C. Eagerton, Sr. and Blanche Munn Eagerton of Darlington, SC. She worked at Bruce Hospital in Florence, SC for 30 years. In 2011, she moved to Elgin, SC to live with her daughter, Wanda Boseman Shelley and son-in-law, James Shelley. In addition to her daughter and son-in-law, she is survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and a sister, Connie E. McElveen of Patrick, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Russell Boseman, Sr.; daughter, Brenda Boseman (Johnny) Shelley; sons, Donald “Donnie” E. Boseman and Russell “Rusty” Boseman, Jr.; her father, Robbie C. Eagerton, Sr. and mother, Blanche Munn Eagerton; sister, Janice E. Ward; brothers, Robbie Eagerton, Jr. and Harold Eagerton. There will be a celebration of life service at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, Florence SC, on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Pastor Jacob Helsley of Blaney Baptist Church in Elgin, SC will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers and the American Lung Association.
