ELOISE HART BRODIE FLORENCE, S.C. ELOISE HART BRODIE, 87, of Florence, passed away on March 24, 2013 in a local hospital after an illness. Mrs. Brodie was born in Hartsville, SC, a daughter of the late Herbert Hart and Elma Smith Hart.She graduated from Hartsville High School.She was a member and President of the Alter Guild at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, a member of Kairos Ministries and charter member and past President of Daughters’ of the King.Mrs. Brodie was an avid Clemson football fan. She is preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Bonneau Murray “Bill” Brodie, who passed away on June 1, 2005. Surviving are her daughters, Hart (Bill) Smith of Florence, Melanie (Elliott) Brodie Wiles of Lexington, and Susan (Kevin) Brodie Hauer of Florence; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jack) Lostetter, Emily Smith, Will Smith, Amy (Dustin) Cudd, Ryan Wiles, Melanie (Chris) Kroshus, Brodie Snapp, and Olivia Hauer; nine great-grandchildren; and her brother-in-law, Judson M. Brodie of Austin, TX. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at All Saints’ Episcopal Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. A Committal Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Thadius Episcopal Church Cemetery in Aiken, SC. Memorials may be made to All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 1425 Cherokee Road, Florence, SC29501; Camp St.Christopher, Attention: Annual Fund, 2810 Seabrook Island Road, Johns Island, SC 29455-6219 or to Kairos Ministries.
