Ellen Chavis Siebert

Ellen Chavis Siebert, 77, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019. Ms. Seibert was born in Rockingham, NC a daughter of the late James Chavis and Lillian Johnson Chavis.She loved participating in activities at Honorage Nursing Center.Her favorite activity was coloring, she never met a stranger, and she loved giving hugs.She was the best mother her daughter could have asked for and loved her two grandchildren with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil L. Bruton; son, Cecil L. Bruton, Jr. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy (Scott) Stroup; grandchildren, Joshua Thomas and his fiancée, Meghan Talbott, and Taylor Marie (Robert) Law. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 15, 2019 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel with the family receiving friends following the service.
