ELEANOR ERWIN PAXTON FLORENCE, SC Eleanor Erwin Paxton, 95, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at her residence. Ms. Paxton was born in Mecklenburg County, NC, a daughter of the late Frank Erwin and Maude Evelyn Thompson Erwin. She is preceded in death by her husband, John McLeod Paxton, Jr.; her son, John Erwin Paxton; and her brothers and sisters, Frank Erwin, Glenn Erwin, Nancy Erwin Hawfield, Alex Erwin, Billy Erwin, Dick Erwin, and Jack Erwin. Surviving are her daughter, Evelyn (Richard) Paxton Waldrop of Florence; her sisters, Hampton Erwin Johnston of PA and Maude Erwin Pratt of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren, Richard (Ginger) O’Neil Waldrop, Jr. of Timmonsville, and their daughter, Magen Lynn Waldrop;US Air Force Major Richard (Kristen) Wesley Waldrop of Newport News, VA and their son, Andrew Waldrop; Justin (Kelley) Matthew Waldrop of Raleigh, NC; Samuel (Heather) Paxton Waldrop of Marion, SC and their children, Paisleigh and Heath; and her daughter-in-law, Jeri E. Paxton, of Florence and her children, Jonathan (Lee Ann) Edwards and Stephanie Edwards. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 29, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
