Eileen Mildred Maxwell

Eileen Mildred Maxwell, 87, of Florence, SC, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 22, 2015, after an extended illness. She was surrounded by her family. Mrs. Maxwell was born in Yonkers, NY, a daughter of the late Percival and Enid Melville Balfour.She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Yonkers. Surviving her sons, John W. (Marge) Maxwell of Del Ray Beach, FL and Robert S. (Claudia) Maxwell of Port Chester, NY; daughters, Donna (Bill) Nielsen of Lecanto, FL, Deborah Tomlinson of Port Chester, NY, Sandra (Brian) Lopez of Monroe, CT, Susan (Joe) Firimonte of Columbia, SC and Bonnie (Mark) Grush of Florence; a brother, Calvin Balfour of Vero Beach, FL; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, John Irving Maxwell; son, Roy L. Maxwell; brothers, Edmund and Henry Balfour; and sisters, Gwendolyn Beck, Sheila Cleary and Emily Bove. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery.
