Eileen Dowling Benton

Eileen Dowling Benton, 69, of Darlington, passed peacefully with her loving family surrounding her Thursday, March 1, 2018. Eileen was born in Florence, a daughter of the late J. Frank and Geraldine Gardner Dowling. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother and sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John F. Dowling, Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Kacey (Brittain) Benton, Brett (Dana) Benton and Matt (Rebecca) Benton; her sister, Faye (John) Dexter; her brother, Sandy (Debra) Dowling; her grandchildren, Kolby, Garrett, Ashleigh, Bayleigh, Karson, Rafe, Sarah Gwen, Audrey, Gemma and Norah; the father of her sons, Tommy (Cathy) Benton; sister-in-law, Wanda Dowling and many loving nieces and nephews and extended family. We love you Gramma E. The family will receive friends from 12-5:00 PM Saturday at Eileen’s residence in Darlington. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Grove Hill Cemetery in Darlington, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Missions for Calvary, 1812 E.
