Edwin Oliver “Pip” Pippin, Sr., born April 2, 1960, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
A Service to Celebrate his life will be 2:00 pm on Monday December 22, 2025 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pip was born in Chestertown, Maryland. He graduated from St. Peter and Paul High School in Easton, Maryland. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years. After his military service, he made his home in Florence, South Carolina, where he lived most of his adult life.
In addition to his father, Reverend Doctor James Edwin Pippin, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John L. Turner, Jr.; two nephews, John L. Turner III and James Maximus Pickett.
Pip is survived by his mother, Elsie Thompson Pippin; his wife, Priscilla Pippin; sister, Gloria Pippin Turner; his brothers-in-law, Ned Cooke (Renee) and Allan Cooke (Lisa) ; children: Edwin Oliver Pippin, Jr., Alexander James Pippin, Charlotte Ann Pippin (Joe) ; grandchildren: Rihanna, Megan, Willow Pippin, Dani, Aiden, Talena; niece, Kathryn Pickett (Cody); nephew, Christopher Turner (Stephanie) ; great-nephew, John L. Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Pip will also be fondly remembered by his Warlock Club brothers.
