Born April 16, 1929, at home in Marshville, North Carolina, she was the youngest child of eleven who survived infancy born to Mr. and Mrs. Archie Mills. She had been the faithful wife of Robert Alexander Hathcock since their marriage in 1955. She leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to her family, her students, her community, her Lord, and her church family. Mrs. Hathcock is survived by her husband, Bob Hathcock, as well as her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and DeLys Hathcock. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Daniel Guy and Robert Jeffrey.
