Edith Mae Carpenter

Edith Mae Carpenter, 83, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Concord, NC, a daughter of the late Bennie Elijah Carpenter and Bessie Viola Outen Carpenter.She was an LPN. Surviving are her son, Charles Franklin Carpenter; daughters, Wanda Gail Carpenter, Donna Rita Carpenter Phillips and Melinda Rose Carpenter Weatherford; brother, Kenneth Carpenter; grandchildren, Kenneth Ray Aycock, Jr; Karen Denise Phillips, Dustin Dewells Phillips, Quinton Carpenter Phillips, Helen Nicole Weatherford, Alan Baird Carpenter, Erin Denise Carpenter and Erica Renee Carpenter and eight great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in the Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel.Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
