Eddie Mae Hood Florence, SC Eddie Mae Powell Hood, 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 05, 2013 after an illness. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February, 09, 2013 in Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at St. John’s Free Will Baptist Church off of Hwy 378. Mrs. Hood was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late Howard and Bertie Poston Powell. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Miller Hood, who died March 14, 2011; daughter, Natalie Michelle Hood; son, Kim Powell; siblings, David and Ralph Powell, Catherine Jones; half-siblings, Vera Thornbrew, Eulee Abrahms and Clarence Powell. Surviving are her children, Jerry Miller Hood, Jr. and Terry Scott ( Leigh ) Hood both of Florence; grandchildren, Ashley Michelle Coleman of Latta, Priscilla Marie Hood of Dillon, Scott Miller Hood, Eddie James Hoodand Jerry Miller Hood, III all of Florence; great-grandchildren, Amantha Nevaeh Marie Perritt; siblings, Shirley Matthews, Judy McDonald, Durant Powell, Michael Powell, Milton Powell and Bobby Powell. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home.
