DWIGHT DELANO GRADY, SR. TIMMONSVILLE, SC Dwight Delano Grady, Sr., 67, of Timmonsville, SC, went to be with his Lord and Savior in the arms of his loving wife on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Grady was born in Duplin Co., NC a son of the late James Earl “Jim” Grady, Sr. and Mildred Summerlin Grady.He graduated from NC State with a Mechanical Engineering Degree and was a member of their ROTC program.He had worked for Powell Manufacturing and retired after 35 years from Sonoco Products as a Maintenance Engineer.His home church was Palmetto Street Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, James Earl “Jim” Grady, Jr. Surviving are his wife, Bertha M. Hudson Grady of Timmonsville; son, Dwight Delano “Del” Grady, Jr. of Hartsville; grandchildren, Mason Grady and William Gandy; brothers, Bennie (Michele) Grady of Faison, NC and Jerry (Billie Carole) Grady and Steve (Betty Lou) Grady, both of Mt. Olive, NC; sister-in-law, Brenda Grady of Raleigh, NC; step-sons, Jason (Chasity) Evans and Richie (Randie) Evans, both of Timmonsville and step-grandchildren, Drew and Kasey Evans, both of Timmonsville. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC29502. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Palmetto Street Church of God.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
