Dottie Sue Hartfield Ortiz

Florence, SC Dottie Sue Hartfield Ortiz, 60, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Carolinas Hospital in Florence. She was born June 23, 1955 in Florence, a daughter of the late James and Virginia James Shumake. Survivors include her son, Jeffery (Leslie) Hartfield of Florence; her daughter, Dana (Michael) Chapman of Florence; two brothers, J. C. (Amy) Shumake of Florence and Jerry Shumake of Florida; five sisters, Dianne (James) Street, Margaret Newcombe, Linda (Vince) Haines, Janice (Billy) Cook and Stacy (Kevin) Altman, all of Florence; and grandchildren, Megan Hartfield and Miley Chapman and Harper and Ethan Hartfield. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Thomas Hartfield and her second husband, Edwin Lebron-Ortiz. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2016 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mizpah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
