Dorothy Jeanne Turner

Dorothy Jeanne Turner, 81, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Turner was born in Washington, DC, a daughter of the late Charles A. Dallaire and Dorothy M. Gaffney Dallaire.She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.She was known as Aunt Jeanne by all the children in the neighborhood and never turned away a stray animal. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Guy M. Turner; sister, Audrey Polson and a brother, Pierre “Winkie” Dallaire. Surviving are her children, Gaye Turner Register of Florence and Guy M. Turner, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Brooke Register (Jesse) Morning of Darlington and Brandon C. Register of Florence; brothers, Charles A. Dallaire, Jr. of Garden City, SC and James W. (Gwen) Dallaire of Irmo and a number of nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 8, 2014, at St. Anthony Catholic Church.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
