DOROTHY MAE EVANS HAYNES Florence, SC Dorothy Mae Evans Haynes, 86, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012,at a local healthcare facility. Mrs. Haynes was born in Florence, the daughter of the late Arthur James Evans and Mary Mageline Oakley Evans.She retired as a supervisor from Electro Motive Company in 1977.She enjoyed cooking for her family and working in her garden.She was a very loving mother and will be greatly missed.She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jean Berry Haynes; her son, Julian Berry Haynes; a granddaughter, Latisha Nettles; her brothers, Horace Evans, Charlie Evans, and Marvin Evans; her sisters, Vivian Street, Nettie Christmas, Agnes Weatherford and Elaine Bartel. Mrs. Haynes is survived by 7 daughters, Shelby (Bingo) Lambert of Picayune, MS; Elsie (EJ) Silva of Florence, Dorrie (Philip) Ridenour and Judon (Johnny) Shelley,both of Cape Coral, FL, Wanda (John) Dowling of Florence, Sherrie (James) Puckett of York, SC, and Lenora Starling of Florence; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Moody Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Elsie Silva.
