DOROTHY JEAN LEE PLYLER FLORENCE, SC DOROTHY JEAN LEE PLYLER, 78, of Florence, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the McLeod Hospice House. Mrs. Plyler was born in McBee, SC a daughter of the late Sam Herbert Lee and Kate Knight Lee.She was a member of Eastside Christian Church and was an LPN at Florence General Hospital then for Floyd Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Rankin Dalton Plyler, who died September 24, 2006. Surviving are her children, Michael (Sonja) Plyler, Donna Kate (Larry) Williams and Jeannie (David) Brown, all of Florence; grandchildren, Amy (Ryan) Hauck of Summerville, SC and Joseph (Stephanie) Jeffords of Florence; step-grandchildren, Christina (Jamie) Lawson of Florence and Julia (Kevin) Coleman of Scranton; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Lee Steigerwald of Pennsylvania and Sammie Lee Jones of Lugoff, SC and a brother, Larry (Lynda) Lee of Santee. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Eastside Christian Church.Private burial will be held at a later time at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
