Doris Hickson Maddox

Doris Hickson Maddox, 84, of Florence, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2016, at a local hospital. Mrs. Maddox was born in Lynchburg, SC, a daughter of the late Herbert Lester Hickson and Vera Mae Nelson.She was a member of Quinby Baptist Church.Mrs. Maddox retired fromAluminum Ladder. Surviving are her son, Danny Jay (Cindy) Maddox of Abbeville, SC; brothers-in-law, William Wayne (Doris) Maddox of Summerville, SC and Jimmy David Maddox of Pamplico, SC; grandchildren, Danielle Maddox Riffenburg and Jason Nathaniel Maddox; great-grandchildren, Corbin Riffenburg and Leah Riffenburg. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Maddox was preceded in death by her husband, Dexter James Maddox. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Florence Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Quinby Baptist Church, 950 E.
