Doris H. Comerford

DORIS H. COMERFORD Florence, SC Doris H. Comerford, 71, of Florence, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the McLeod Hospice House after an extended illness. Mrs. Comerford was born in Chesterfield, the daughter of the late Sandy and Evelyn Oakley Perdue. She was a homemaker, and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde, Olin, Reese, and Heyward Perdue. Surviving are her husband, Joseph F. Comerford of Florence, son, Dr. Charles Comerford of Lacomb, OR; daughter, Deborah Ann (Joel) Mercado of Florence; brother, Eugene (Wynona) Perdue of Patrick and sister, Margie (Johnny) Winburn of Patrick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 11, 2013, at St. Anthony Catholic Church.Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. A Christian Wake Service will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, with visitation following until 8:00 P.M.
