Dorinda Melton Sarvis

Dorinda Melton Sarvis, 81, widow of Isaac B. Sarvis, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017. Mrs. Sarvis was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late John Baxter Melton and Alma Ruth Richardson Melton.She was a loving mother and grandmother.Mrs. Sarvis was a former assistant manager at Mack’s Dime Store in Timmonsville and a homemaker. She was a member of the Family Life Church of the Nazarene and had attended Cross and Crown Lutheran Church. Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Sarvis Curtis of Florence; grandson, Andrew Tony Curtis of Florence; brothers, Ravenel Melton of Florence and Ronnie Melton of the Philippines; sisters, Dean Griffith and Debbie Cole, both of Goose Creek, Arliene Gaymon of Florence and Wanda Dalrymple of Effingham. Memorials may be made to Cross and Crown Lutheran Church, 3123 W. Palmetto Street, Florence, SC29501. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Cross and Crown Lutheran Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm.Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
