Donna Sue Collins

Donna Sue Collins, 83, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

She was born in Mariemont, OH, the daughter of the late Earl Atkins Parker and June Marie Magly Parker. Mrs. Collins was a devout Christian woman who, adored her family deeply. She was an avid cook who, spent 20+ years working as a waitress for Western Sizzlin’. She loved bird watching, her favorite birds being Humming Birds, Cardinals, and Blue Jays. She also loved going to the beach.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy C. Collins; son, James Earl Roberts; and brother, Richard Parker.

Surviving are her children, Janet (Tim) Baxley, Jackie Blakely, John (Sheila) Roberts, and Jeffrey Charles Roberts; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Judy Parker; father of her children, Charles Roberts; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to the Florence Baptist Temple, 2308 South Irby Street, Florence, SC 29505.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, on Friday, October 16, 2026, in the Florence Baptist Temple chapel. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, October 16, 2026, in the chapel.
