DONALD EDWARD PATE Florence, SC Donald Edward Pate, 68, of Florence, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 after an illness. Mr. Pate was born in Florence Co., a son of the late Amsy Judson Pate and Mamie Singletary Pate.He was a member of the Robert Burns Masonic Lodge #337 AFM in Coward, the Omar Shriners, the Jazz Morticians, and the Pee Dee Shrine Club. Mr. Pate is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lynda Dennis Pate; six brothers and a sister. Mr.Pate is survived by three children, Jennifer (Emmett) Stephens of Effingham, Dennis (Cindy) Pate and Jason (Michelle) Pate, both of Florence; seven grandchildren, Carson Stephens, Kelly Stephens, Brandon Gray, Jason Gray, Lyndsey Pate, Kent Pate and Kirsten Pate;a sister, Barbara Beard of Elizabethtown, KY;a brother, David Pate of Jessup, GA; and his faithful canine companion, Henry. Funeral Services will be held 3:00PM Sunday, December 2, 2012 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00PM Sunday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence, 3122 Devon Road.
