DONALD CAMPBELL WEEKS Florence, SC Donald Campbell Weeks, 89, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at a local healthcare facility. Mr. Weeks was born in Boston, MA, the son of the late John Herbert Weeks and Jean MacKinlay Weeks.He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and a veteran of the US Army, having served in WWII where he received various medals.Mr. Weeks was a member of the American Legion Post #0001, the Elk’s Club Post #1020 in Florence, the Darlington Moose Lodge #595 in Florence, and the V.F.W. Post #3181.In the V.F.W. he was also of the Military Order of the Cootie of the United States. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Jean Angell Weeks; two sons, Glenn D. Weeks and Kenneth L. Weeks; and two brothers, Kenneth Prescott Weeks and Robert Chandler Weeks. Surviving are his best friend, Thelma Calcutt.; his daughters, Barbara Goeller of South Pittsburg, TN and Janet Greene of Surfside Beach, SC; seven grandchildren, Nick Goeller, Chris Weeks, Trish Crow, Michelle Campbell, Shawn Weeks, Michael Greene and Donald A. Greene; seven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Marilyn Meade of Florida. Memorials may be made to V.F.W. Post 3181, 236 South Greer Road, Florence, SC29506. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Christ Episcopal Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home and immediately following the service in the fellowship hall at Christ Episcopal Church on Sunday.
