Dianne Gainey Byrd

Dianne Gainey Byrd Scranton, SC Dianne Gainey Byrd, 64, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, February 07, 2013 at Duke Medical Center after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Florence. The family will receive friends at the church following the service until 8:00 p.m. and at other times at the home of her sister, Kay Davis. Mrs. Byrd was born in Florence County, SC a daughter of Lois McDougal Gainey and the late Archie Lee Gainey. She was native Florentine and was employed at Carolinas Hospital System until 2000. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Nikki Byrd of Durham, NC, her father, John T. Byrd of Darlington; mother of Scranton; sisters, Kay Davis and Toni McManus both of Florence; nephew, Corey Davis and nieces, Leann Davis and Marlee McManus. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the Nurses, Dr’s and Staff at Duke Medical Center for the love and care in attending to Dianne.
