Debra Brown Kennedy

Debra Brown Kennedy, 50, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. She was born November 7, 1965 in Greenville, SC, a daughter of Marion and Jackie Smith Brown. Debra was the longtime office manager of her father’s business, Marion J. Brown Private Investigators, and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a loving daughter, mother, and friend to many, and was always caring and faithful and never one to ask, “why me?” Survivors, in addition to her parents of Florence are two sons, Justin Blaine Kennedy and Bradley (Kimberly) Kennedy, all of Florence; two brothers, Jerald (Renee’) Brown of Florence and Almon (Gayle) Brown of Lexington, SC; a sister, Jeri (Danny) Goff of Elgin, SC; and a special caregiver that has been a member of the family for years, Delphine Jackson. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 on Tuesday at Southside Baptist Church, with the funeral following at 2:30 PM, officiated by Rev. Jim Crooks. Burial, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, will be held in the Singletary Cemetery in Coward, SC.
