David Raymond Stone

David Raymond Stone, 66, of Florence, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at his residence after an illness. Mr. Stone was born in Dillon County, a son of the late Raymond Lee and Ilar Mae Prince Stone. He was a US Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam era. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Dillon. He was partner and co-owner of Watts and Associates in Florence. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jean Jordan Stone; his son, David Stone, Jr.; his sisters, Betty Zielinski and Diane (Wade) Hamilton, both of Florence; his granddaughter, Brianna Stone; numerous nieces and nephews and long-time friend, Ernie Chavis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Ray Jean Brooks. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
