David Edward "Snowman" Snowden

DAVID EDWARD “SNOWMAN” SNOWDEN Florence, SC David Edward “Snowman” Snowden, 76, a native of McKees Rocks, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. Mr. Snowden was born September 6, 1940, son of the late William and Margaret Shannon Snowden.He married his high school sweetheart, Faith Adamchik Snowden on October 13, 1962.They moved to Florence, SC in 1978 and fell in love with the warm weather and the beach.He was owner and operator of Snowman Express and spent the last 20 years experiencing the joy of working with both of his children.He was always athletic and involved in several different programs through the years.He shared his love of coaching with many youth, coaching baseball with the City Recreational League, Pony League, Major League as well as YMCA baseball.He also was an avid golfer, racquetball player and fisherman.He also enjoyed a good round of poker with his poker buddies. He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Faith Snowden of the home; children, Dina Snowden (Barry) Berg and Scott Patrick (Laura) Snowden; grandchildren, Zackary Snowden Berg of Florence, Bailee Faith Berg at College of Charleston and Watson Timothy Snowden of Florence. Memorials may be made to the Jane Boswell Humane Society, P. O. Box 4808, Florence, SC29502. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Saturday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with a service following at 6:30 in the chapel.
