David George Felter passed away peacefully on January 5th 2026. He was 65.
David was born on 11/21/60 in Suffern NY to Mary A. Felter and Woodrow Felter. He lived in New York most of his life and moved to South Carolina 5 years ago for a change of scenery and a new start.
David worked as a handy man repairing campers and specialized in spackling and painting. He loved making bird houses, small wood projects and tinkering around with other small intricate projects that kept him busy. David had a love for fishing in the Hudson River, camping, crabbing with his brothers and blowing up fireworks whenever he got the chance! David would always give a helping hand to whoever he could. He will be remembered also for his love of the song Black Betty by Ram Jam.
David is survived by his only son, Marshall A. Felter; his brothers, William Felter, Vincent Felter, and Frank Felter (Wife Nancy Felter); sisters, Annmarie Wall (Husband Al Wall) and Theresa Heller (Husband Darryle Heller) and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
David is proceeded in death by his mother Mary A. Felter and his father Woodrow Felter. David will be cremated and brought back home to New York with a memorial ceremony in the spring.
