David Reynolds Colburn

David Reynolds Colburn, 65, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Mr. Colburn was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Gerry Reynolds Colburn and Mary Alice Richardson Colburn.He graduated from St. John’s High School in Darlington where he was a Key Club President as well as DECA International President and received his Bachelor’s Degree in political science from USC.After graduating college, he owned a record store in Columbia, as did photography for Sandlapper Magazine and had been a Marketing Director.He retired as co-owner of DC Training.David loved golf, was a prolific reader and collector of books, avid film buff, coffee connoisseur, talented cook, natural born comedian, and friend to all he met. He is survived by his wife, Cori Colburn; sons, Matthew Colburn of Lake City and Christopher Colburn of Columbia; daughter, Mary Grace Colburn and sister, Bonnie Shayna (Edward) Morse of Alpharetta, GA. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 27, 2017 at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
