David Glen Anderson, 87, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025.

He was born in Lawrence, MI, the son of the late Ralph Anderson and Celena Carpenter Anderson. Mr. Anderson was an avid tennis player, gardener and fisherman. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 7 years. Mr. Anderson also worked for Union Carbide/ESAB for 29 years. He had many hobbies, which included: boating, jigsaw puzzles and Sudoku. He was a member at Central United Methodist Church, since 1977, where he became a part of the Parking Lot Mission. Mr. Anderson loved going to Lake Marion and he adored his dog, Winter.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Betsy Lapham, Marty Borek and Steven Anderson.

Surviving is his loving wife, whom he has been married to since 1962, Joanne Hansen Anderson; sons, David Ralph (Eileen) Anderson, Michael Alan (Mary) Anderson, and Chris Robert (April) Anderson; sister, Judy Anderson; grandchildren, Ashley Anderson, Adrian Anderson, Michael Anderson, Stephanie Anderson, Gregory Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Alan Anderson and Matthew Anderson; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended members of family.

The family is being assisted by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
