Darryl Lane Porter

Darryl Lane Porter, 53, of Darlington passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Darryl was born on June 21, 1963 in Charlotte, NC a son of the late Herman Willard Porter and Phyllis Allen Porter.He previously worked at McLeod Regional Medical Center and at the Hartsville Oil Mill. Darryl is survived by his brothers, Wesley Porter and Jason Porter both of Florence; nephew, Rion Porter and niece, Angel Porter; aunts and uncles, Mary Ruth Frodge, David Cootes, and Dennis Cootesall of Charlotte, Horace (Sarah) Porter of Lancaster, Joel (Daphne Porter) Heffler of Florence, Joe (Lenell) Porter of Monroe, NC, Roger (Cheryl) Porter of Loris, and Tony (Latrell Porter) Fowler of Florence; great-grandfather, Claude Cootes and many cousins.He is survived by a large family and many friends who loved him very much and will miss him. Visitation will be Monday, May 8, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm with Funeral Service at 6:00 pm at Stoudenmire- Dowling Funeral Home.A private burial will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery.
