Darryl Lynn Matthews

Darryl Lynn Matthews, 53, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015. Mr. Matthews was born in Florence, SC, a son of Ann McElveen Matthews and the late Howard Eugene Matthews.He was a draftsman in the steel industry.He graduated from East Clarendon High School. Mr. Matthews attended USC-Sumter and Florence Darlington Technical College.He loved guns, fishing, golf and cars. In addition to his mother, surviving are his daughter, Abby (Brandon) Fowler of Florence; grandchildren, Everett Fowler, Aubrey Fowler and Emily Claire Fowler; and brothers, David (Nancy) Matthews and Steve Matthews. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his daughter, Hannah Matthews and his brother, Carl Matthews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 2015, at the funeral home.
