Daniel Joel Stone

Pastor Daniel J. Stone, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. He was born in Florence, SC, the son of Reverend Daniel R. Stone and Angela T. Stone. Paster Stone pastored at Peace Church for 7 years. Before that he was an Associate Pastor at Peace and at Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church. He worked at ESAB Welding & Cutting for over 20 years. He is survived by his parents; his wife, Kathy Stone; sons, Daniel R. Stone and Lanford J. Stone; In-laws, Rev. Robert E. Nichols and Marie H. Nichols; brother-in-law, Robbie Nichols (Linda); nieces, Sophie and Audrey Nichols; and his grandmothers, Ruth Stone and Irene Nichols; as well as his loving Peace Church family. The family will receive friends 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Peace Church with the service to be held at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peace FWB, 897 Third Loop Road, Florence, SC 29505, for Church Training Service Statewide Ministries. The family would like to personally thank the ER staff and MICU staff at MUSC Florence and Dr. Adnan Alsaka for their excellent medical care.
